Life Care Family Practice understands that men are a unique segment of the population with their own special health needs. Men in the United States have a shorter life span than women because of a complex interplay of genetic, environmental and social factors. In fact, while nearly 85% of men seek medical treatment when they're sick, almost all -- 92% -- wait at least a few days to see if they felt better before seeking medical care or advice. In general, men die an average of five and half years earlier than women do. Many men are unaware that simple screening tests and lifestyle changes can dramatically improve their quality of life. Therefore, in addition to acute care and treatment for minor injuries, Primary Care Plus provides complete physicals and "well man" exams to optimize the health and address the specific needs of the men in our community.
